Buying a home or selling a home may be one of the most exciting, stressful and/or expensive things you will ever do. It’s vital that you seek legal advice from someone experienced in Property Law and/or Conveyancing.
There are many things you will need to attend to as part of this process. For example, if you are buying a property, make sure you have spoken to your bank or finance provider and obtained pre approval. Both buyers and sellers should read everything thoroughly – from agent’s agreements, pre-contractual disclosure forms & statements, to the Contract itself. Understand the bank, stamp duty and LTO fees and charges to which you may be subject. Read thoroughly the actual loan and mortgage contracts and documents, not just the Letters of Offers provided.
Before you sign
Remember you are entitled to get legal advice and you are under no obligation to sign anything on the spot.
